A forklift truck driver who sexually assaulted four teenage girls by plying them with drugs has been jailed for 11 years.
Roy Dempster, 47, was found guilty of three counts of sexual activity with a child, two counts of sexual assault and three counts of supplying drugs between 2005 and 2015
Police arrested Dempster on June 26 last year after a teenage girl told officers she had been sexually assaulted by him at a New Year’s Eve Party in 2014 when she was 13-years-old.
Following his arrest another three women in their 20s were identified and revealed they had been abused by him.
It was found they were plied with drugs and assaulted by Dempster at his flat in West Heath, Birmingham, between 2005 and 2007 when they were in their early teens.
On Monday (7/4) Dempster was jailed for 11 years at Birmingham Crown Court.
Detective Constable Michelle Palmer, from the Public Protection Unit, said: “The victims in this case were affected for years by what had happened.
“It took a great deal of bravery to come forward but they decided they had to in order to prevent other young women becoming victims.
“Allegations of this nature will always be taken seriously by our officers no matter how many years have passed and I hope the lengthy sentence that has been handed out proves that it is never too late to tell your story and take a dangerous offender off the streets.”
