An Inspirational 11-year-old environmental campaigner has saved the life of a distressed seal pup - after stumbling across it litter picking at her local beach. Tia Alderson, 11, from Seaburn, Sunderland was on a litter picking mission with her mum last Saturday (22/01) when she spotted the baby animal stranded on the rocks. At first she was unsure if she should intervene, but her impressive scientific knowledge meant that she was aware that bacteria in the seal's mouth posed a danger to dogs.
