A 95-year-old woman with dementia got to join in with her care home's festive activities despite being bed-bound - after a reindeer turned up at her bedside. Staff at Heathfield Court care home in Erith, Kent, were determined that Elsie Hodge, 95, would not miss out on festivities. Despite being bed-bound and suffering from advanced dementia, she was able to meet a reindeer - after they brought the animal to her bedside. After the reindeer were carefully led through the home and travelled up on the lift, Elsie looked delighted as she was able to pat and stroke the animals.
