This is the adorable moment a cheeky chimp puckers up to give his true love a tender kiss.
The great ape wastes no time in landing a smacker on his better’s half cheek, but touchingly ends up kissing her closed eye.
The intimate moment was captured by Emmanuel Keller who saw the couple getting cosy at Abenteuerland Walter Zoo in Switzerland.
Emmanuel, 38, said: “This photo is a lovely one, as it shows the human behaviour between the chimps, people love to see that in animals.
“The position of the chimps was perfect, I took hundreds of pictures and I’m really happy with this one.
“I didn’t notice at first how close they got and the kiss happened so quick.”
Chimpanzees form close, supportive, affectionate bonds between one another that can last a lifetime.
Emmanuel, from Germany, said: “They are fantastic animals and I could watch them all day. I hope to see many more interactions like this.
“Photography is a hobby of mine, I love taking pictures at zoos and making them look like they are in the wild.”
