A disabled little dog is wheely happy and scoots around with her owner – in a custom-made chariot.
Ruby, the eight-year-old Shih Tzu, has suffered many problems in her life, including a slipped disk in her back which crushed her spine.
This left her unable to use her back legs and needing wheels to get around.
To add insult to injury Ruby then also lost an eye.
But owner Tammy Wilkins says nothing can hold Ruby back and she lives a full, happy life.
Tammy, 34, of Plymouth, Devon, said: “You wouldn’t know that she’d been through so much though because she’s always so happy.
“The thing we love most about her is her lovely character – she’s just so cheeky and can be naughty but we don’t mind. She always has us running around after her.
“I’ve got two daughters and they adore her – we spoil her.
“If you smooth her she growls, puts her paws together and it looks like she’s praying.
Ruby has just taken second place in the Most Adorable Pet competition in Plymouth, Devon.
Tammy added: “We’re really happy at the result because it’ll be lovely for her after everything she’s been through – she really deserves it.”
