(L-R) Dave Kitson (84), Alfie Kitson (80) & Anne Prosser (71) (formerly Kitson) with Millie the dog. Long-lost siblings have reunited after more than 20 years apart - thanks to a story about a litter picking dog. See SWNS story SWMDreunited. Alfie Kitson, 80, was this week reunited with his brother and sister after a story about his recycling pooch Millie, a Spanish Podenco, made national news. After moving to Spain 20 years ago with his wife Judy, 75, Alfie drifted apart from his siblings Dave, 84, and Anne, 71, who were living in their hometown of Hereford. Returning to the UK 18 months ago, after his wife became ill, Alfie's dog Millie became an overnight star after placing rubbish into bins - a party trick learnt from their time in Coin, Spain. Millie was just eight months old when she was found abandoned in a rubbish bag tied to a tree branch. Anne and Dave had stayed in touch over the years, but didnt know if their brother had returned from Spain as they had no address for him. It was Anne's eagled-eyed husband, Ray, 73, who spotted Alife and Millie on their regular rounds through Hereford town centre through the local news.
