This cheeky orangutan showed she was a real film star when she re-created the hit blockbuster Spider-Man and gave her mum a kiss – while hanging UPSIDE-DOWN.
Amateur photographer Kathryn Willett, 46, captured the magical moment when she was visiting Dudley Zoo on October 8.
The incredible snap shows four-year-old orangutan Sprout puckering up for a kiss with her mum Jazz while hanging upside-down from a rope.
The cute picture mirrors the famous kiss from the 2002 Hollywood film Spider-Man where actor Tobey Maguire smooches Kirsten Dunst while hanging upside-down in the rain.
Zoo regular Kathryn, who lives in Dudley, West Mids., said: “They are just the most amazing animals.
“Sprout is normally like a little child, she will play and roll around and torment her mum.
“She usually wears herself out and then go for cuddle time.
“But I couldn’t believe it when she was hanging upside-down on the ropes and puckering up to kiss her mum Jazz.
“It was just the right moment at the right time.
“Photography is just a hobby but I love going to the zoo and taking pictures of all the animals.”
Zoo keepers were also stunned by the amazing snap and said they had never seen behaviour like it from Sprout.
Head of Upper Primates, Pat Stevens, said: “I’ve never seen Sprout in such a position, never hanging upsidedown and she’s not normally that affectionate.
“She’s certainly mischievous and naughty and only normally goes up to cuddle her mum for reassurance after she’s been told off.
“Kathryn’s picture is just outstanding. She always seems to be there at the right moment.”
