Photographer Greg Martin said: “The ten dogs bravely stepped forward knowing that they might be mocked by their pedigree chums, but did so anyway in the name of fun.

“Perhaps feeling defeated by Alan’s impressive scuba gear, Evie refused to hold her snorkel and stamped her flippers, whilst Dolly, the Cornish Pirates supporter stood proudly in her outfit she wears to all the games.

“Sophie, Bella, Arwen and Poppy exchanged glares, each one of them convinced that their tutu looked better. And Millie, dressed as Hilda Ogden from Coronation Street, understandably thought she had the competition in the bag – until she spotted Daisy Mae.

“Daisy Mae, a canine Florence Nightingale, noble and obedient and a credit to the NHS was unbeatable.”
