A tiny dog made for the ‘picture perfect’ moment got on his back legs and struck a killer pose – just like a killer whale statue behind him.
Poodle mix Baxter, eight, was taken out for walkies by loving owners Katie and Justin Ferley, both 28, when they snapped the adorable photo.
Justin pretended to hold a doggie treat and waved it above Baxter’s head.
Their little pet got so excited that he jumped up on his hind legs, his front paws outstretched – making for the perfect photo opportunity.
Katie thought it would be “hilarious” if they could get Baxter, whose coat is similarly coloured to the Digital Orca statue in Vancouver, Canada.
She said: “Baxter jumps up on his hind legs pretty easily when he’s excited, so my husband pretended to hold a treat above him to make him jump.
“He got plenty of treats after for being such a good boy!
“On our way out of town we stopped by the Orca statue thought it would be hilarious if we could make Baxter jump to look like it – since he’s exactly the same colours!”
The US financial analyst from Portland, Oregon added: “We love to take photos of our dogs so we thought the whole thing was absolutely hilarious!
“And Baxter went right along with it!”
The Ferleys took the picture on October 14.
