A pug puppy has become an internet sensation after his owner realised he loves wearing clothes – and fancy dress.
Chief, just six months old, has racked up almost 10,000 followers on his Instagram page after his owners decided to make him a viral hit.
Megan Simpson, 19, and her boyfriend Ross Simpson, 26, were inspired to set up an account for their pug after seeing another dog, Doug the Pug, in the US, attract a massive two million followers.

But the couple, who live in Whitstable, Kent, had no idea how successful Chief would become.
She said: “We thought we could do the same and get him a few followers.
“We had heard about Doug the Pug and thought ‘what’s he got that Chief hasn’t?’ – then it just went mad.
“He’s got almost 10,000 followers on Instagram and we know they are real because of the number of likes and comments he gets.”
The couple, who met on a ski season in France, bought the cute canine on a whim when he was just nine weeks old.

Now he gets thousands of likes for every picture – including posing up as a fisherman and another snap of the cute pug dressed as James Bond.
She added: “We were sat on the sofa watching a film and we said how we could imagine an adorable puppy laying between us.
“We love huge dogs but we knew this wasn’t really possible living in a flat.
“We were looking at some dogs online and this pug came up.
“We went to see him the next day.
“He was the last one in the litter – he was absolutely tiny, we think he was the runt as he’s taking a while to grow.
“When we met him he was so quiet and shy but he has come out of his shell.
“He’s so confident now.”

Megan said they “love him like a son” and want to make other people happy by showing him off.
She said: “His photos are simple so far but the ideas we have for Chief once he is fully grown are endless.
“From hilarious outfits to acting out famous movie scenes.
“People really love him and he makes people happy.
“We’re trying to make him bigger so we’ve set up a Facebook page and will take more time on him making videos.

“We don’t want an American pug ruling the scenes.
“Let’s get a great British pug showing off his English rose charms.”
