A resident couldn’t believe his eyes when he woke to find 13 DONKEYS in his front garden.
Stunned John Coggon opened the curtains this morning (Tues) to find the herd on his lawn.

They had escaped from the nearby Cleethorpes Country Park, North East Lincs., after it’s believed vandals attacked the pens overnight, and made their way across a playing field close to Mr Coggon’s home.
After helping the owners collect the donkeys at around 7am, he said: “The gate was open, I looked out and there were 13 donkeys there. We went and closed the gate so they didn’t get out onto the road.

“It was certainly an unusual thing to wake up to.”
By 7.45am, all that was left of the donkey drama was some “free fertiliser” for Mr Coggon’s well-kept borders.
