A seriously injured man who fell 200ft (61m) down an embankment onto rocks was saved after rescuers were alerted - by his DOG. See SWNS story SWLEdog. The man was stuck on the rock in the North Yorks Moors for several hours on Wednesday (July 27) evening. The alarm had been raised when the casualty’s dog was seen alone below a campsite, it is thought that the dog climbed up the embankment as it heard voices from below, which is how campers became aware of the situation. The man was treated for multiple injuries, including chest and shoulder ones, during the five-hour operation which involved an air ambulance and coastguard helicopter, and he was later hospitalised.
