A little Shetland pony will be snug this Christmas after he was made a special festive onesie.
The horsie ‘foursie’ was specially made for pony Daffy whose owner says is the envy of the rest of his stable.
It was made by Ascot Racecourse in a bid to encourage race goers to follow Daffy’s lead and don their festive finery for the upcoming Christmas Racing Weekend.
Jackie Rowberry, Animal Trainer at Animal Dramatics, who owns Daffy, said:”In winter I always worry about Daffy getting chilly as he likes to spend so much time out of his stable.
“I love the fact that Ascot has created a special foursie for Daffy so that he can get into the Christmas spirit.
“He’s loved all the attention and is quite the envy among his stable buddies.”
Nick Smith, Head of Communications at Ascot Racecourse, added: “We wanted to do something fun and festive to mark the upcoming Christmas Racing Weekend which is always a great occasion.
“Racegoers often turn out in their Christmas outfits and we raise a lot of money for local charities too.”
Tickets for the Christmas Racing Weekend start from £15 for Grandstand Admission and £20 for Premier Admission on Friday 18th December and £21 for Grandstand Admission and £28 for premier Admission on Saturday 19th.
