This hilarious video shows a music-loving parrot crooning “shake your booty” while he wiggles his bum.
Einstein, 23, really shakes his tail feather as he prances on a perch singing “shake your booty – shake your butt” and wolf whistles.
The African Grey parrot, based in Fort Worth, Texas, picked up the ditty from his owner Marcia Rose, 63, who has had the Einstein since he was a three-month-old chick.
Marcia said: “African Grey parrots are just very good imitators of speech and I was dancing around one day shaking my butt and he liked it.
“I said: ‘Einstein, shake your butt, shake your booty’ and he started copying me.”
Marcia thinks Elvis Presley’s song Shake, Rattle and Roll also inspired Einstein’s ditty.
She added: “I’m an Elvis fan and played the song and that’s kind of how it all started.”
Marcia has created social media profiles for the bird with the name Einstein The Parrot and around 100,000 people follow along with his exploits.
She said: “I think it is because of the COVID situation. People want something funny and light – people are tired of politics and the pandemic.
“They just get joy out of watching Einstein.”
Marcia named the bird after the world famous physicist because African Grey parrots are renowned for their brains.
“African Grey parrots are supposed to be smart so we named him after the smartest person in the world,” she added.
