This over-protective cat is definitely a good mouser and bites his owner – every time she reaches for her laptop.
Key board warrior Rambo, an eight-year-old foster kitty, stops student Kelsey Leslie from doing her homework assignments on line by fiercely protecting the laptop.
Kelsey, 22, said: “My professors know him by name. Whenever I join a Zoom session, he puts his face in the camera.
“He wants attention during class constantly. He’ll bite you if you overstep his boundaries. He’s a little aggressive and very particular about when he wants to be touched.
“He never breaks skin when he bites though. Sometimes he’ll ask to be pet and then he’ll nip at you. Then he’ll be confused as to why you stopped petting him.”
Rambo is the fourth cat Kelsey, a student at the Northwestern University in Illinois, USA, has fostered though the Evanston Animal Shelter.
She added: “He’s been here for about a month. He has diabetes, so he’s hanging out with me while we get his blood sugar under control.”
Kelsey says Rambo doesn’t just stop her from doing homework. He also interrupts her when she’s trying to take notes during her online courses.
But despite Rambo’s content distraction techniques Kelsey says he hasn’t damaged her ability to complete her work.
She said: “It’s actually nice to pet him during Zoom calls. It keeps me a bit more focused in class.”
