This adorable footage shows a family ‘sausage dog’ helping her owner keep fit during lockdown – by enthusiastically doing push ups.
Six-year-old Dachshund Pernod was filmed copying her owner Jake Davie, 15, as he went through his rigourous home workout.
Jake’s mother Jill Davie, 51, was on had to capture the magical moment Pernod got carried away with the endorphin rush and joined in.
Jill, from Gateshead, said: “Jake was doing his training for cricket during lockdown, when Pernod decided to join in.
“She was not trained to do this just had a natural enthusiasm. Pernod makes us smile with her strange little habits.
“We were surprised when she joined in but this helps to motivate Jake. We just want people to enjoy the video and hope that it brings a smile to their face.”
