A gourmet bakery is making pigs-in-blankets flavoured CUPCAKES for Christmas – filled with BACON and SAUSAGE.
The meaty treats are made from brown sugar and filled with caramelised bacon and topped with a spiced sausage frosting.
Creator Mark Brooks of London-based Flavourtown said: “We wanted to do something a bit bonkers for Christmas this year.
“The Pigs in Blankets flavour may not float everyone’s boat, but there are plenty of other flavours to choose from if anyone isn’t in a particularly piggy mood.”
The bizarre new cupcakes are available as part of Flavourtown’s £30 Christmas Dozen Box which is stocked at Harrods, Selfridges and Old Spitalfields market.
It also includes a mince pie cupcake with pastry base and mince-meat filling and a ‘Ferrero Posher’ variety – hazelnut-covered chocolate sponge which is sprayed gold.
