A bloke has celebrated his 40th birthday with a Disney-themed party where a staggering 400 GUESTS dressed up as various animated characters.
Kevin Wood began planning his big bash 18 months ago and sent out an amazing 600 invitations to his closest family and friends.
Despite a few hundred drop-outs, the children’s entertainer still commanded a packed social club with everyone from Beauty and the Beast’s candlestick character, Lumière, to Nemo from Pixar’s Finding Nemo turning out.

Speaking about the event, Kevin said he enjoyed every minute of it from planning to execution.
Kevin, from Scunthrope, North East Lincs., said: “It took 18 months to plan but it wasn’t difficult – I had fun at every stage.
“People got their invitations in February and everyone had a specific character that I wanted them to come as.
“Everybody did it and made such an effort and I’ve had so many people come to me since the party to say it was one of the best parties they’ve ever been to.”

Single Kevin, who dressed up as Mickey Mouse, also got a surprise of his own on the night when it was revealed he had been given the title of ‘Lord’ as one of his birthday presents.
He said: “My auntie bought me the title as a present and it was activated straight away so I’m now Lord Kevin Thomas Wood which is amazing.”
Describing the party as “the best night of his life” Kevin knew from the beginning that it was going to be a big celebration.
He said: “I’ve got a lot of friends and I knew it was going to be a big party. I’m quite well-known in the Scunthorpe area and despite lots of people not being able to make it there were still hundreds of people who could.”
Kevin is a big Disney fan and it was a no-brainer for the newly titled Lord to have Disney-themed fancy dress.
He said: “There were so many different characters but we did double up on a few – there was more than one Cruella de Vil.
“Quite a few of the children that were at the party were also dressed as dalmatians which was very cute.”

Kevin said the event was exactly how he had wanted it.
He said: “I knew what I wanted and it all came together brilliantly.
“Every single table was decorated and every single person put in so much effort.
“We also had an Abba tribute band – Voulez Vous – perform on the night and it was their last ever performance which was really special.
“The picture of all 400 people who were there, all dressed up in their characters is absolutely amazing.
“It was the best night of my life.”
