Fans of One Direction will have their dedication truly tested with a tribute band that could be one of the WORST lookalike line-ups in the business.
Only One Direction will headline Show In The Park in York next summer but an excited audience may struggle to decide who’s supposed to be who.
With a blonde-haired Harry, Liam sporting a confusing quiff and Niall’s lookalike more T-Bird than Directioner – the boys may struggle to pass off as one of the most popular bands in the world.
The five-piece tribute will take to the stage on the weekend of 30-31 July 2016 but with the real group controversially cut down to four – should Zayn Malik’s supposed doppelgänger even be up there?
The five boys are set to be part of the newest addition to the tourism calendar in York which will also have a Take That tribute band on the second day of the festival and will include daytime arena displays, a fairground and stunning aerial pyrotechnic displays.
John Lowery, managing director of Event & Attractions Limited who are organising the event, said: “I have thought for years that York is missing a big family-friendly event which includes something everyone with an affordable ticket price, which is how the Show In The Park came about.
“We’ve spent the last year looking at the feasibility and planning and working with City of York Council and Make It York, and we are delighted to be able to announce the detailed plans for the 2016 event.”
