Santa Claus made an unusual surprise visit yesterday — by taking a dive in a cold fish tank.
Swimming underwater in a red suit and scuba gear, he also took the opportunity to entertain visiting children at Macduff Marine Aquarium, Banffshire .
The attraction, which features local marine life, keeps its tanks at the same temperature as the sea outside, currently 9 degrees Celsius.
Sandra Bisset, aquarium learning officer at Aberdeenshire Council said: “Many warm water animals could not survive in these temperatures, but I think Santa is just as comfortable in the cold water as he is in snow.”
