A man who launched a bunch of balloons in memory of his late dad was amazed when they ended up 563 miles away – after just 18 HOURS.
Kieran Forrester, 22, who is severely disabled, launched three balloons on September 1 in memory of his father Dave, who died earlier this year.
But the balloons, carrying a touching message and an email address, were found by Greetz Hans on a beach in the Netherlands.
Kieran’s support worker Gareth Drake, of the Hollybank centre in Mirfield, West Yorks., said: “Incredibly, the balloons had travelled to the Netherlands, some 563 miles or 906 kilometres.
“Kieran and everyone at Hollybank were delighted that the balloons had travelled so far in such a short time and that Greetz had taken the trouble to email Kieran and take photographs of the landing”.
