A bride was stunned when the vicar at her wedding unexpectedly interrupted the ceremony – to take a snap with his SELFIE STICK.

Emma Scarborough, 26, had just met her husband-to-be Jamie, 28, at the altar when vicar Paul Frost said he had something to do before proceeding with the vows.

He then pulled out a selfie stick and snapped an amazing photo of the grinning wedding party at St John’s Anglican Church in Corby, Northants.

Paul is thought to be the first-ever vicar to use a selfie stick at a wedding.

Mum-of-two Emma, a home carer from Corby, had no idea he had planned the stunt with Jamie and his one of his best men Derek Flynn.

She said: “I was walking down the aisle and I got to the end and the vicar started speaking to us.

“He said ‘we are gathered here today to join these two in holy matrimony but first – let me take a selfie’.

“The best man had mentioned the idea to him before I got there. I had no idea he was going to do it.

“It was so good, really amazing.

“He was such a cool vicar and it made it such a lovely atmosphere.”

The newlyweds

Emma and Jamie, a health and safety officer, tied the knot on Saturday in front of their guests, including sons Alfie, six and Joshua, three.

“It was so special,” said Emma, who is heading off on honeymoon to Wales.

“When I looked back at the photo it was so nice. It was so lovely to have a photo with him.

“We’ve got lots of photos of our day, but this one is extra special.”
