A woman was left in a state of shock after leaving her home – to find a BED impaled on the side of the building.
Emily Beattie, 25, had gone to take her bins out on Friday (May 22) when she spotted a bed attached to the side of home and thought she was hallucinating.
The retail worker says she couldn’t believe the bizarre scenes which left her in stitches over the weekend.
Emily, originally from Livingston, Scotland, said: “I thought I was hallucinating when I saw it.
“I was taking the bins out and I just saw this bed on the side of my house and I thought what the hell is going on here.
“I was just laughing so much and I went into the house to tell my housemate and they were telling there was no way this was as funny as I made it out to be.
“It was just strange – I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.
“For God’s sake how has this happened. It just impaled itself on a light on the side of the house.”
The strange occurrence became even funnier at night, when the light automatically switched on and illuminated the bed.
Emily added: “I thought this couldn’t get funnier. But it did.
“Because at night the light automatically came on and it just illuminated the whole bed.
“It became like a beacon of sorts. It’s just ridiculous.”
The bed has become a bit of a local attraction in the Hyde Park area in Leeds, West Yorks., where Emily lives.
She said she’s seen joggers and passersby snapping pictures of the “art installation”.
She added: “This has really brightened my week and I’ve seen so many people come and take pictures.
“It’s just such a bizarre thing to happen I can’t explain it. Maybe my house will become a tourist attraction.”
