A woman from Plymouth has revealed in a TV documentary how her husband’s sister cancelled their wedding – despite being the couple’s matchmaker years before. Ann Duffy, was sentenced to eight weeks in prison in February 2014 after admitting to impersonating sister-in-law Sandra Greatrex on the phone, and cancelling the couple’s wedding. There had been a rift between the women over the care of Duffy’s mother, who had moved in with the couple shortly before the wedding, the court heard at the time of the case. Sandra and husband David Greatrex, Duffy’s brother, have told their story of harassment in Channel 5 documentary, Family Secrets and Lies, which culminated in the wedding cancellation just weeks before the big day.
