John and his fiancee Claire have been living in Australia for over ten years.
But after Claire gave birth to their little boy, Niall, they decided it’s time to come back home to Ireland and visit his grandparents.
However, they thought to make the event even more special by coming a week earlier than planned.
Instead of letting his parents know, John planned to surprise them by coming in the house just as they were watching a lovely slideshow of pictures of little Niall.
John’s brother, Dave O’Regan, was keen on the idea and decided to film the whole thing.
The video quickly stole the hearts of everyone, being watched more than two million times on Dave’s YouTube channel.
The slideshow is full of heartwarming shots of the baby and his parents.
The video switches back and forth from the slideshow to the grandparents who laugh and cry tears of joy as the pictures come up on the screen.
Little did they know that at the end of the video John would come up from behind holding their grandson – who they were meeting for the very first time – in his arms.
The end of the video is an emotional family moment with the 11-week-old baby in the centre of attention.
