See SWNS story SWMDreunited; Two schoolfriends who last saw each other in 1951 have been reunited at a residential care home after more than 70 years apart. Audrey Sishton and Margaret Moore, both 86, were friends at the Belt Road School for Girls in Cannock, Staffs., during the late 1940s and early 1950s. After they had finished school, the pair went in their separate directions to marry and raise their families. Despite both still continuing to live in the Cannock area, the pair last saw each other in 1951 when they both were 15-years-old. Now, the friends have been reunited at the Littleton Lodge care home in Hednesford, Staffs., after Audrey temporarily moved whilst her house was undergoing repair work. Margaret, who has four children and seven grandchildren, had been living at the luxury care home on Bishop Street since June 2021. Audrey immediately clocked eyes on fellow Belt Road School for Girls pupil Margaret, who had been in her class, and the pair quickly rekindled their friendship.
