A devoted dad has given his kids a present that is out of this world – transforming their bedroom into a life-size replica of a Star Wars SPACESHIP.
David Bonney, 47, secretly spent a month turning the room into something like the inside of a Millennium Falcon.
Superfan sons Dylan, nine, and George, eight, had no idea their sci-fi fantasies were about to come to life.

David, a dad-of-five, said: “The bedroom needed doing up because it hadn’t been done in about eight years and I set myself a challenge to do something special for them.
“They absolutely love it.”
David, from Anchorsholme, near Blackpool, Lancs., said Star Wars was one of their favourite films with Darth Maul and Darth Vader their favourite characters.
He added: “I grew up with Star Wars and I have all the films so they ended up watching them with me.

David Bonney, 47, surprised his Star Wars superfan kids, Dylan, nine, and George, eight, with a new bedroom based on the iconic Millennium Falcon from the hit movie franchise.
“We told them I was redecorating because we were moving them into another room.
“When they went out for the day I put it all together. They were speechless, especially Dylan.
“They were overwhelmed.”

The new bedroom includes a Millennium Falcon-style control panel with flashing LED lights, buttons and levers.
It’s also got USB ports and controls for their television and X-Box and David described it as “practical and fun”.

Dad Dave Bonney had built a Millenium Falcon entertainment centre in the bedroom of his two sons George, 8 and Dylan, 9.
Dylan said he was “gobsmacked” when he saw the room.
He said: “I love Star Wars because I like the way they dress the characters and the way they speak.
“I like the baddies because they are really strong at first and you never know who’s going to win.
“The room is definitely a lot better now – my brother think the same. It looked like someone else had come in and done it but I did know it was my dad.”

Little brother George added: “I felt very shocked and very, very happy.”
David and wife Emma are now worried they’re enjoying their Millennium Falcon adventures too much.
David said: “We can’t get them out of their room now and we definitely can’t tell them to go to their room if they’ve been naughty anymore.”
