This is the sickening moment a young girl picked a cat up by the scruff of its neck and lobbed it in a bin – before TRAPPING it inside with a bag of rubbish.
The vile yob was caught on camera binning the terrified feline and making sure it couldn’t get out before running off.
As she dumps the black moggy inside the wheelie bin she peeps through the crack in the lid to make sure the cat can’t escape.
Jean Atkinson, 68, spotted the heinous act as the cat was dumped in her black bin outside her home in Hull, East Yorks.
Retired social services worker Jean said: “I just couldn’t believe it – she needs to be named and shamed.
“You can’t stop other people can you – but hopefully she won’t be able to do it again.”
The great-gran-of-four added: “I lost my cat a few months ago and I just pray nothing like this happened to him.”
Jean checked her CCTV footage after seeing her black rubbish bin had been left open.
The divorced pensioner had installed security cameras after problems with teenagers and previous anti-social behaviour around her home.
She said: “I don’t go out the house much, and there are some nasty pieces of work out there.
“When I checked my cameras back – I couldn’t believe what I saw.
“I have four dogs and one cat and love animals so it was quite distressing to see what this young girl did to that cat.”
Jean said when she went to check her bin after seeing the lid ajar the next day, on August 18, she was glad the moggy had managed to get out alive.
A RSPCA spokeswoman said: “We are aware of this concerning incident and we are appealing for information.
“The cat’s welfare is our priority and being put in a bin would have caused the animal a lot of distress.
“We understand that the cat was no longer in the bin when the lady checked and we hope very much that the cat is OK.
“This sort of behaviour towards an animal is not acceptable.”
