Caitlin Morrell, 22, suffered nerve damage and was left scarred for life after she was glassed by the stranger which she said "felt like a bomb had gone off in my face." The hairdresser had had an altercation with a friend who had started seeing her ex on February 22 last year at the Townhouse pub in Ely, Cambs. Shortly afterwards 22-year-old Stephanie Murfet who she had never met, pushed a glass into her face. Murfet, of Littleport, Cambs, admitted assault and was given a 21-month sentence, suspended for 18 months. At the time Caitlin said she was so traumatised by the incident that she couldn't sleep and her hair had started to fall out. But just a year after the attack she says she has "fulfilled her dreams' by swimming with dolphins and finding love. And in August she plans to take part in a charity skydive with her sister to raise money for the Katie Piper Foundation, which supports people with scars and burns. Its founder Ms Piper was raped and had sulphuric acid thrown in her face in 2008, when she was 24.
