This teacher was left in a sticky situation after he was TAPED to a school wall by his pupils.

Year 6 teacher Mark Robertshaw was stuck to the wall across his body hand and feet using gaffer tape.

Pupils at Seaview Primary School in Seaham, Cunty Durham, paid 50p each for a strip of tape to secure Mr Robertshaw to the wall – to raise money for a new school hall.

It started off with him standing on a chair and more and more tape put over him, until finally the chair was taken away and he was stuck.

School family engagement officer, Cheryl Baker, said: “The PTA came up with the idea of taping one of our teachers to the wall. We hadn’t heard of any other school doing that.”

Mr Robertshaw said: “I think I might have drawn the short straw agreeing to do it. But, other teachers have done things to help raise money so I thought it was my turn.”
