A single 36-year-old woman is hoping for a blind date this Valentine’s Day – after putting HERSELF on eBay.
Clare Howe posted the advert offering a date on Sunday (14/2) to the highest bidder.
The self-employed beauty therapist already has dozens of bids, with the highest being £120.
But Clare, of Loughborough, Leics., has promised there will be no “funny business” on the night and traffic wardens need not apply.
The auction will come to a close at 5pm on Sunday with the date taking place that night.
Any money raised will be donated to a domestic abuse charity.
The pretty brunette, who says she is 5ft 8ins and “curvy”, said: “I’ve been single for years.
“There’s been the odd date, but it’s never lasted.
“I always attract people that I’m not interested in. I’m not transfixed on looks, it’s about personality. That’s the key.
“A good sense of humour is an absolute must, as is being able to hold a conversation.”
“I thought this would be a nice way of meeting someone and raising money for charity at the same time.
“I have lots of friends who are single. And they’re really picky and turn their nose up at certain people.
“One friend wouldn’t go out with a guy because he was a bin man.
“That wouldn’t bother me.
“I wouldn’t turn anyone down on the grounds of what they did for a living, except traffic wardens.
“I couldn’t abide being in a relationship with a traffic warden.”
The winning bid, which currently stands at £120, will be donated to Leicestershire charity, Living Without Abuse, which supports victims of domestic violence.
