A loveable dog wearing its heart on its face is looking for a new home on Valentine’s Day.
Four-year-old Dodger – a terrier – has an unusual heart-shaped marking on its forehead.
The Dog’s Trust Glasgow resident caught the eye of staff at the rehoming centre, who say the canine lives up to its appearance as a very affectionate and loving little dog.
During 15 months at Dog’s Trust after being brought in as a stray, Dodger has seen many of the other dogs snap up new owners, but the pooch has yet to find its perfect match.
Staff hope someone this Valentine’s Day will sweep the adorable hound off its paws and give it a loving home of its own.
Dodger loves to play, especially with tennis balls, and would be better in a home with older children and no other dogs.
Sandra Lawton, Rehoming Centre Manager at Dogs Trust Glasgow said: “We couldn’t believe it when we noticed Dodger’s heart-shaped marking – it’s made even more extraordinary by just how loving he is!
“He is an affectionate boy who loves cuddles with his favourite carers and is looking for a very special someone to give him the adoring home he deserves.
“Dodger is a gentle boy who can take time getting to know you but once he does, he loves to play, especially when it involves chasing after a tennis balls!
“He is looking for a home with older children who can give him the space he needs to settle in and he would prefer to be the only dog in the home so he can have his owners all to himself.
“He would love for new owners to be around for most of the time to keep him company and help him settle in to a new environment.”
