Moggie missing for 9 YEARS turns up 450 miles away in another country

A missing pet cat has been reunited with her owners nine YEARS later – after being found more than 450 MILES away in another country.

Grey feline ‘Norma Jean’ disappeared from her home in Devon as a one-year-old – and somehow made her way to Scotland.

She was found on another family’s door in East Kilbride and handed into the local Cat’s Protection League.

They scanned her chip and discovered she was from Torquay and they made an appeal on Facebook for the original owners.

Incredibly her owners happened to be on holiday in Scotland at the time and saw the appeal – and have now got their pet back.

The owner, who has not yet been identified, posted:

“I had lost hope after so many years, thank you for all your help. I can’t wait for a cuddle.”

It’s not known how the cat travelled to Scotland or what happened to her in the intervening years.

A spokesman for the Cat’s Protection League said: “Delighted that we have located the owner.

“What a very happy ending. Thanks to everyone who has helped.

“Norma has been missing for nine years from Torquay. She was only a year old when she went missing.

“There is no doubt she has been well looked after and it would be nice to know where she has been.

“We know that someone else out there may be missing her too.”
