A struggling student was saved by police on the first day of term after he got in a spot of bother – with his tie.
Kind police officer PC Mitch rushed to the schoolboy’s aid after he was seen in Croydon town centre, south London, tackling the troublesome accessory.
Croydon Town Centre MPS wrote on Twitter: “Not our usual call to service, but this young lad needed help doing his tie earlier and PC Mitch came to help.”
Social media users were quick to thank cops for helping in the community.
Twitter user OldBlackfener said: “A task I was rubbish at with the tie round my own neck, never mind someone else’s. He might have a queue tomorrow.”
Fereshteh Emami added: “Thank you. I wish you were around when I went to school.”
