A couple who arrived at hospital for the birth of their fourth child were stunned – when they were assigned the same midwife who delivered their previous three children.
Catherine Fox, 31, and her husband Daniel, 32, had their first son Corey 11 years ago followed by Fraser, six, and Remy, three.
Their newest arrival was made that extra bit special by having midwife Anita Walsh deliver new baby boy Albie at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge as well.
Albie was born on October 5 at 40 weeks and two days and was the heaviest of all the brother weighing 8.13lbs.

Bank clerk Catherine, of Great Gransden, Cambs., said: “Anita is amazing. Nothing is too much trouble for her.
“Like all new parents, for our first baby we didn’t know what to expect, but Anita took us step-by-step all the way through.
“It really was a blessing for her to be there and we are so incredibly lucky and grateful that she’s delivered all of our children.
“As a mother you trust your midwife with yours and your baby’s life and there is nothing more important than that.
“I couldn’t have felt safer – I trust Anita completely and have absolute faith in her and the team.”
Anita, 60, who has been a midwife for more than 30 years, said: “The odds of delivering four babies for the same couple are very slim.
“I can’t describe how special it is to help bring a baby into the world or how much I love my job.
“The day I get bored is the day I get out. Technically I’ve retired but I’m still working full time because I enjoy it so much.”
With the couple’s second child, Fraser, Catherine became really unwell and nearly died in childbirth after losing over half the blood in her body.
Heart FM Radio DJ husband Daniel said it was great to have a familiar face there at the traumatic time for comfort.
He added: “With our third we thought ‘What are the chances?’ It was just fate.
“We thought we were going to have the baby two or three days early but as Anita said, he hung on for her.
“It’s a wonderful yet terrifying experience. As a dad nothing is in your control, but each time I saw it was Anita who was going to be delivering our baby, I thought ‘thank God’. She’s a one off, they don’t make many like that.”
First born Corey weighed 7.10lbs and was born in September 2004, he was followed by Fraser in January 2009 weighing 8.10lbs.
Third son Remy weighed 8.4lbs and was born in July 2012.
A William Hill spokesman said: “This is an extraordinary coincidence that definitely beats the odds.
“The odds must be tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands to one.”
