A widower has won a £2.5 million house in a raffle and says he can finally get a dog and walk it round the estate - after suffering chronic arthritis since he was a boy. Grant Carson, 58, has spent his working life helping disabled people find accessible housing - but now has his own sprawling home in the Lake District. See SWNS story SWMRhouse. He scooped the lavish five-bedroom farmhouse set in over eight acres of land after entering the Omaze Million Pound House Draw. Delighted Grant has also been given £100,000 in cash - plus the house comes mortgage free, with all stamp duty and legal fees covered. He said he is looking forward to getting a dog which was always out of the question due his arthritis – but said he can afford of dog walker now. Grant, who has never won anything in his life, was stunned when the Omaze team surprised him at his home in Glasgow to tell him.
