1. Turmeric Scrambled Eggs
With very little effort, turmeric can successfully add a spicy kick to traditional scrambled eggs. The great part is that this meal will take no longer than 15 minutes to prepare!
For best results, lightly fry garlic and spinach leaves in a non-stick pan with coconut oil. While this is wilting, whisk your eggs together with coconut milk and turmeric until it reaches a smooth consistency. Once whisked, add the mixture to your pan and stir continuously for around 8 minutes (or until the mixture is at your desired consistency).
Once you are happy with the consistency of your scrambled eggs, serve on sourdough bread.
2. Turmeric Pancakes
Are you a fan of savoury pancakes? If so, you’re going to love turmeric pancakes.
To make turmeric pancakes, whisk together all of your usual pancake ingredients and add in a ½ teaspoon of turmeric. Once the mix is smooth and lump-free, add two tablespoons of batter to your pan and cook for 2-3 minutes before flipping over. The pancakes will be done once they reach a golden-brown colour.
Turmeric pancakes taste great on their own, but we recommend adding lemon curd and ginger on top for an unforgettable punch.
3. Turmeric Smoothie Bowl
Smoothie bowls provide an exciting and delicious start to your day. They are also full of nourishing ingredients that’ll be sure to put a spring in your step.
Creating a turmeric smoothie bowl will only take 10 minutes. Put the following ingredients into a blender with 600ml of water and blend until smooth.
- 2 teaspoon of turmeric
- 3 tablespoons of coconut milk yoghurt
- 50g of oats
- 1 tablespoon of cashew butter
- 2 bananas
- ½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon
Once blended until smooth, serve your creation in a bowl and top with some nuts or chia seeds. While a turmeric smoothie bowl might not be the most attractive of dishes, the taste sure will make up for it!
