This is the adorable moment a US Marine surprised his sister with a reunion on stage – at her graduation.
Emily Rose Booth, 21, was receiving a bachelor’s degree in nursing when her brother was called on stage to during her commencement ceremony.
In the emotional video, the graduate rushes in to hug her brother, Private First Class Ryan Booth, 19, onstage who she hadn’t seen in nearly a year.
Until now, Private Booth was unable to return home or see family due to COVID-19 restrictions since he left for boot camp last August.
But before she was handed her diploma from the Endicott College’s president, Dr Steven DiSalvo, the emcee announced Emily’s brother onto the stage in Hempstead Stadium in Beverly, Massachusetts, USA.
Emily, from Stratford, Connecticut posted the heart-warming video on her TikTok account @emily.b00th, which now has over 1.2 million views.
The siblings’ parents, Dawn and Jeffrey Booth, were also present to celebrate their daughter’s achievements.
The video was filmed on May 22 2021.
