This is the moment a massive lost Newfoundland dog was found — on the roof of a house.
Kovi, the two-year-old pooch, used an opened window as a cat-flap when his owners’ backs were turned while they were doing the housework.
They couldn’t see the eleven stone hound anywhere – and it was only when they walked onto their driveway in Gloucester they noticed it was chilling on the roof.
Neighbours helped keep a watchful eye on the driveway as Kovi’s owners lured him back through the window with dog treats.
An eyewitness said: “He’s known for taking himself for walks along the cul-de-sac but this was definitely a surprise for everyone.
“Kovi was just sat up there minding his own business. He was just happily in his own world, guarding the house in his own little way.
“They had to coax him inside with some dog treats but he eventually made his way back.”
