A make up artist has decided that 2020 isn’t scary enough – and created this truly horrifying, pandemic-inspired look for Halloween.
Gen Arias, 27, spent two-and-a-half hours applying this creepy visage using liquid latex, fake blood, a surgical mask and a mini bottle of hand sanitiser. The look would cost £90 ($120) per application.
“I wanted to make a really frightening design this Halloween and, of course, the pandemic is what is on everyone’s mind,” said Gen, from Miami, FLA, USA.
She has also designed some more traditional looks for the spooky season, including zombies, skulls, vampires, burns and hideous, gaping wounds. These cost between £45 and £150 ($60-$200) for her clients.
Gen, a self-taught artist, added: “I absolutely love working on special effects style make up.
“But unfortunately Halloween only comes once a year. My dream is to work for movies one day.”
Gen, who now runs her own business, ‘Glam by Gen’, who usually works for weddings, special occasions and anyone who wants to look particularly glamorous on a night out.
